Foster wins silver in 400m IM at World Aquatics Championships

It marked the second consecutive world championships in which Foster has captured silver in the event after finishing runner-up last year in Budapest. Competing for the United States, Foster swam 4:06.56 to equal his personal-best time in the 400 IM, taking second to Leon Marchand of France, who touched the wall in 4:02.50 to break Michael Phelps’ record of 4:03.84 established at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
