Hamilton Skating Club’s Quinn Startek jumps into the competitive season

HAMILTON, Ontario — The 2023-2024 Competitive Figure Skating Season kicked off on July 20th in Ottawa, Ontario. Athletes from across Canada debuted their new programs and skills under the watchful eye of the judges’ panel.

Quinn Startek, 11 years old, from the Hamilton Skating Club, skated two solid programs in the Novice Women’s category capturing two gold medals.

The highlight of the competition for Quinn was landing her Triple Salchow in competition for the first time.

The July Sectional Series competition is the first step for these skaters on their journey to the Provincial and the National Championships.
