These Texas HS football records might never be broken
Longest losing streak
Jefferson Davis High School (Houston) owns the record for the longest losing streak in Texas high school football history after losing 80 straight games between 1985-1993, according to data from Dave Campbell’s Texas Football via USA Today.
The eight consecutive years of bad luck isn’t a record that anyone wants to challenge and rarely have teams come close to it. Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School (Fort Worth) was the last Texas HS to come close to the losing streak record, but the team snapped its eight-year, 77-game straight losses in 2018.
