(BVM) – The 2023 MLB trade deadline has come and gone with plenty of stars set to suit up in new uniforms for the next few months. While the few days leading up to the Aug. 1 deadline brought forth the bulk of the league’s significant deals, the last day still provided some fireworks as contending teams opted to take advantage of their current windows.
Leading up to a deadline that had once expected to have more sellers just a few weeks earlier, a handful of teams like the San Diego Padres and Chicago Cubs would find themselves set down a different path. Unfortunately for clubs looking to buy, the final few weeks of July brought far more contending teams into the picture.
