NEW YORK (BVM) – It’s no surprise that NFL players often go broke after retirement due to bad investments, legal troubles and/or a lack of financial education. Even NFL Hall of Famers who’ve reached the pinnacle of pro football can run into financial issues.

Here is a list of Pro Football Hall of Famers who donned the golden jacket and ultimately went from having millions of dollars to filing for bankruptcy. For these seven athletes, taking legal action was the only way out to help repay their debts.  

Nonetheless, NFL players handle their money in all types of ways. Tom Brady invested $30 million into FTX and he didn’t feel a huge financial burden after it became worthless. Rob Gronkowski is more frugal and only lives off endorsements, not his NFL salary. But other NFL players spend basically all of their money.
