5. Rex Guthrie, S, Heritage

Guthrie was kind of unheralded until just this summer. That is, even though he made 117 tackles, broke up 12 passes and intercepted three on his way to All-State honors in 2022. Six weeks ago at Nebraska’s camp, he clocked a 4.43 in the 40-yard dash. The 6-foot-1, 205-pounder parlayed that into an offer and will join the Cornhuskers next season.
