Report: Lakers’ Anthony Davis lands richest annual extension in NBA history

The Los Angeles Lakers have signed Anthony Davis to a three-year max extension worth $186 million, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Friday. At $62 million a year, Davis now owns the richest annual extension in NBA history. The 30-year-old averaged 25.9 points, 2.6 assists and 12.5 rebounds over 56 games last season for the Lakers. The Lakers acquired Davis back in 2019 after a blockbuster trade with the New Orleans Pelicans. He is now tied to the franchise through 2028.
