2. North Shore (Houston)

It’s amazing what North Shore was able to do last season – go 15-1 and appear in the state title game – without quarterback Kaleb Bailey who missed the final 11 games of 2022 with a knee injury. Bailey will be back under center for the Mustangs in 2023 after leading the program to a Class 6A Division I state championship as a freshman. With his return, North Shore is a good bet to win its fourth state title since 2018.
