The Bearcats were the only team to beat No. 10 Longview last season en route to their state-best 11th state championship. Aledo’s leading passer (Hauss Hejny, 2,094 yards, 20 touchdowns), leading rusher (Hawk Patrick-Daniels, 1,385 yards, 20 touchdowns) and leading tackler (Davhon Keys, 123 total tackles) from last season are all back in 2023. A pair of lockdown cornerbacks (Arkansas commit Jaden Allen and Arizona State commit Chris Johnson Jr.) also give the Bearcats a great opportunity for their 12th state title.
