Top 10 Virginia QBs for 2023 high school football season

6. Tristan Evans, Sr., Freedom

The first senior on this list, Evans is more than deserving of his spot. As the quarterback for the Freedom Eagles last year, Evans put up 3,653 passing yards for a whopping 61 passing touchdowns and just six interceptions along with 873 rushing yards and 13 more scores, with his 4,526 total yards, passing yards and passing touchdowns each led the state by a large margin. Evans led his Eagles to a perfect 15-0 campaign and a Class 6A state title while earning first-team all-state honors from the VHSL. He was also named the Virginia Player of the Year by MaxPreps.

Amazingly, this success hasn’t resulted in many big-time offers for the quarterback as the 5-foot-11, 170-pound signal caller has only earned offers from D-II Allen University and Fairmont State. However, the rising senior has received some love from Columbia, Harvard and Old Dominion so perhaps another good season could help him earn the more elusive D-I offer.
