Top 10 Missouri QBs for 2023 high school football season

10. Cole McKey, Sr., Christian Brothers

Starting off the list is McKey, who had big shoes to fill as the new Cadets’ starting quarterback replacing SEMO commit Patrick Heitert. But McKey rose to the pressure to lead Christian Brothers to their second straight Missouri State High School Activities Association Class 6A state title. In his first year as the starter, McKey threw for 1,914 yards, 23 touchdowns and just five interceptions.

While McKey excelled in his first season under center for the Cadets, he hasn’t gained a lot of attention from scouts to date. Currently, McKey only holds a few offers from D-III and NAIA programs. With talented junior Jason Wiley Jr. also on the roster, McKey will need to continue his stellar play from a year ago to keep his spot not only on this list but in the starting lineup.
