6. Gus Hawkins, OT, Mill Valley
North Dakota State, Iowa, Iowa State, and Nebraska all showed Hawkins interest. In return, he gave them the cold shoulder.
The 6-foot-6, 270-pound offensive line bookend already had his college destination in mind, choosing to be the first in Kansas State coach Chris Klieman’s 2024 class. Hawkins was a 5A All-State pick for Mill Valley, who won the state championship his junior year.
As a key get for the Wildcats, Hawkins has also been vocal in trying to get others to join him in the purple and white.
