Top 10 MLB players who competed in Little League World Series
6. Jason Bay, 1990
Bay is the lone Canadian on this list, making it to the Little League World Series with Trail Little League out of British Columbia in 1990. After spending time in college at Gonzaga and competing in the Cape Cod League, the outfielder became a selection of the Montreal Expos in the 22nd round of the 2000 MLB Draft.
Bay was traded to the Mets and later the Padres who he debuted with, but he made a splash after being dealt to the Pirates, earning National League Rookie of the Year honors in 2004. Bay made back-to-back All-Star appearances the next two seasons, and did so once again while winning the Silver Slugger Award with the Red Sox in 2009. He would end his career with the Mets and Mariners, racking up exactly 1,200 hits with a .266 career average.
