3. Preston Welch, Sr., Teurlings Catholic

Welch had a breakout season as a junior in 2022, upping his yardage and touchdowns significantly from his 2,400-yard, 17-touchdown performance as a sophomore. Last season, Welch threw for 3,000 yards and 34 touchdowns as he led the Rebels to a 12-2 record and an appearance in the Division II Select Final Four.

Prior to his junior season, Welch got a boost in his recruitment as he earned his first D-I offer from UAB on July 4. In addition to his UAB offer, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound quarterback has received attention from Liberty, Louisiana-Lafayette, Troy and Tulane and could garner even more looks with a standout senior campaign.
