The University of Maine has inaugurated its new field hockey complex, featuring a synthetic turf playing surface, bleacher seating for 512 spectators, a press box, scoreboards, and other state-of-the-art amenities. The $8.3 million facility was made possible through the generous support of the Harold Alfond Foundation. The complex will not only serve as the home of the University of Maine field hockey program, but also provide a venue for local youth and high school teams, as well as host various championships.
