Wake Forest: 2021

A program without an outstanding football tradition, Wake Forest appears to be on the rise under head coach Dave Clawson who has led the Demon Deacons into a new era of competitiveness. This included the 2021 season where Wake Forest tied a program record with 11 wins, going 11-3 and outscoring opponents 537-404.

That year, Wake Forest also ranked as high as No. 10 in the AP poll, the highest ranking in program history. With a 38-10 victory over Rutgers in the Gator Bowl, the Demon Deacons were ranked No. 15 in the final AP poll, the highest finish in program history as well.
