8. Jamelle Holieway (1985-88)

Holieway was a true freshman in 1985 and he replaced Troy Aikman, who broke his leg that season and he helped the Sooners finish 11-1 and defeat No. 1 Penn State in the Orange Bowl. They were named national champions and Holieway became the first true freshman in college football history to lead his team to a national title.
