A top linebacker in the state regardless of class, Winters impressed as only a sophomore last season. Winters registered 54 tackles, three interceptions, two tackles for loss, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery that he returned 72 yards for a touchdown for the 8-4 Wildcats, helping them make the Class 7A playoffs.
The 6-foot-3, 205-pound linebacker is among the top players in the nation in the Class of 2025, ranking as high as No. 42 in the country by 247 Sports and No. 6 in the state by On3. Given his success on the gridiron, Winters has received 22 scholarship offers from top programs including Auburn, Georgia, Michigan, Oklahoma, Penn State and USC among others. He will be one of the most highly sought-after prospects in the junior class.
