Before both went on to make many Pro Bowls in the NFL, Sanders and Thomas were a dynamic duo for the Cowboys at the college level. Sanders is arguably the greatest running back in football history, but he still had to wait his turn in Stillwater. Thomas ran for 1,613 yards in 1987 while Sanders tacked on 603. When Thomas left, Sanders broke out in a big way with 2,628 rushing yards in 1987.
