Top 10 Pennsylvania defensive players for 2023 HS football season

10. Cole Sullivan, Sr., Central Catholic

There are several pairs of teammates on this list that make up some of the top defenses in the state, and alongside fellow Central Catholic linebacker Anthony Speca, Sullivan has become a true star for the Vikings. Sullivan has played on both sides of the ball during his time at Central Catholic, but he has emerged as one of the top linebackers in the state, and a top-500 player in the Class of 2024. That’s in part thanks to a breakout junior season in which Sullivan made an impressive 117 tackles for the Vikings, adding two sacks and four pass breakups. Another strong season should be in store for the senior linebacker at Central Catholic in 2023 before he heads off to play at Michigan.
