Deriso, Malancea lead season opener at Jacksonville State

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – The Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels opened the 2023 season with stellar finishes at the Jacksonville State Foothills Invitational. Men’s Results The Petrels placed sixth overall with a score of 168 in the 5k. Ashton Deriso finished in fourth place with a time of 15:16, a new personal best. All three runners in front of Deriso were from NCAA Division I Auburn. Zachary Benner placed 21st with a time of 16:06.
