Hampden-Sydney Places Third At EMU Heritage Cross Country Invitational

RACE RESULTS HARRISONBURG, Va. — The Hampden-Sydney College cross country team opened the 2023 campaign with a third-place finish at the EMU Heritage Invitational hosted by Eastern Mennonite University on Friday evening in Harrisonburg. Senior Carter Burcham (Rockville) led the Tigers with his collegiate-best 5K time of 16:47.2 to place ninth among 78 runners. NCAA Division II Emory & Henry College won the six-team race, while Bellamy Immanuel of host EMU was the individual winner with a time of 15:51.8.
