Hopf, Nolan go one-two to lead Eagles to win
EVANSVILLE, Ind.—Senior Mitchell Hopf (Santa Claus, Indiana) and red-shirt freshman Alex Nolan (Evansville, Indiana) finished first and second, respectively, to lead University of Southern Indiana Men’s Cross Country to a first-place finish at the season-opening Stegemoller Classic Friday evening at Angel Mounds. Hopf finished the six-kilometer race in 18 minutes, 6.1 seconds, 11 seconds faster than Nolan, who was second in the 40-competitor field with a time of 18:17.2.
