Leatherneck Cross Country Finish Second in Opener

MACOMB – The Western Illinois University cross country team made its season debut Friday as the men and women took to the course at Spring Lake Park. Both squads brought home second-place finishes as Bradley took both the women and men races. The Western Illinois women opened the season finishing second overall, scoring 59 points. The Leathernecks and Northern Illinois each scored 59, but Western Illinois earned second place based upon the sixth-place tiebreaker. The meet distance was 4K. Bradley won the meet with 17 points.
