SUNY New Paltz Cross Country Begins Season at Vassar

Poughkeepsie, NY —The State University of New York at New Paltz cross country team(s) opened their season(s) Friday at the annual Vassar Season Starter. The women ran 3k and the men 4k at the Vassar Farm course. Lillian Stephenson finished twenty-fourth overall to lead the Hawks with a new personal best time of 11:56.8. Marcella Candlin followed right behind in twenty-fifth place with a time of 12:04.5. Allison English and Mikayla Cecora not too far behind in forty-third and forty-fifth with times of 13:16.3 and 13:31.4, respectively. English ran a new personal best in the 3k.
