Pacers Prevail for Comeback Win on Opening Day
Oswego, N.Y. — Marywood University came back to defeat Oswego State in five sets Friday on Opening Day. The Pacers defeatd the Lakers by scores of 26-24, 19-25, 13-25, 25-17, 15-6. In the deciding set, Marywood scored 11 unanswered points on freshman Gianna Norton’s serves. Freshman Haley Hallman led the Pacers offensively with 12 kills and a .167 hitting percentage. Freshman Jaedyn Laws tallied a double-double with 16 assists and 13 digs. Norton had 32 of the Pacers’ 80 digs, in addition to five aces. Casey Hagerstrom totaled four solo blocks.
