Vikings Top Covenant to Win Berry Open

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – Berry’s women’s cross country team dominated the Berry Open this morning in the Clara Bowl. With a team score of 15 in the six-kilometer race, the Vikings indisputably defeated their only foe, Covenant College, by 33 points. Freshman Olivia Lambert swept the competition and led the Vikings with a first-place finish in the first collegiate race of her career. With a time of 24:14.27, Lambert beat the second-place finisher, Berry’s Anna Rose (24:20.32), by just over six seconds.
