Women’s Cross Country Takes Second at the Mount 5K Duals

EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 1, 2023) – Howard University women’s cross country team opened its 2023 campaign with a second-place finish at the annual Mount 5K Duals, hosted by Mount St. Mary’s University. The reigning Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Champions were led by third-year Bison Joslyn Crosby (Bossier City, La.). The Louisiana native finished ninth overall, clocking in at 19:28.35. Sophomore Jordyn Miller (Mundelein, Ill.), newcomer Orlaan Winston (Covington, Wash.) and junior Camille Egbula (Simpsonville, S.C.) each placed in the top 20, recording time of 19:47.47 (15th), 19:52.89 (17th) and 20:11.33 (20th), respectively.
