In the fourth week of the high school season, several star athletes emerged in various sports. Tanner Dejong from Mountain Ridge football stood out with two defensive touchdowns in a single game, helping his team secure a victory over Lone Peak. Elina Mortensen from Corner Canyon volleyball showcased her hitting skills and led her team to a strong 10-1 record. Kate Shirts from Mountain View girls soccer played a pivotal role in her team’s success, with six goals and two assists. Austin Westfall from Orem cross country and Adria Favero from Olympus girls cross country both had impressive wins in their respective races. Emma Rupert from Clearfield girls tennis and Noah Moody from Timpanogos boys golf also had noteworthy performances. Lastly, Judd Taylor from Altamont baseball proved to be a valuable player both on offense and defense with his consistent batting and pitching skills.
