College football’s top 5 matchups of Week 2
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (BVM) – The first official weekend of the 2023 college football season brought about some thrilling action that set the tone for what the rest of the year might have in store.
Perhaps the best game of the weekend came early on Saturday, as Colorado stunned No. 17 TCU in Deion Sanders’ debut as the Buffaloes’ head coach behind over 500 passing yards from quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Later in the weekend, Jordan Travis and Florida State made a statement by beating No. 5 LSU, 45-24, while perhaps the biggest upset of Week 1 came Monday night as Duke dominated No. 9 Clemson, 28-7.
As good as Week 1 was across college football, Week 2 is poised to be even better and will feature several non-conference matchups between Power 5 opponents, including a rematch between ranked teams that is one of most anticipated contests of the entire season.
