What are your personal goals within your sport/athletic dreams?
Stewart McLean: To be better and try to find new ways of improving my overall results.

Do you have a pregame ritual you follow?
McLean: I get all my equipment ready well ahead of time and get to the track in lots of time to walk the course. I just work on calming my mind and breathing just before I go out and keep a cool head throughout the race.
What has being a member of a team taught you?
McLean: To be patient. To learn from others who have been doing it longer. Be a great sport and own up to any mistakes. To understand that each time on the track is an opportunity to learn.
What is the best piece of advice you received from a coach or mentor?
McLean: You only need to steer a little bit – less than you initially think. If you steer too much then you will lose control. Be patient and watch your lines.
What do you love about your sport?
McLean: The speed of the karts. Its so fun!! And WAY better than the rental carts I used to ride in for fun.
What do you like to do outside of your sport?
McLean: I love creating videos for my YouTube channel (Canadian Destruction Series) with demo derby races. Bike riding and hanging with my friends. Playing with my brother. Building model cars and going to car shows.
Anything else you’d like to share?
McLean: This is a new sport for me but I am having the time of my life!
