Three Bobcats place in top 10 as men’s cross country finishes second at CBB Wave Race

NEW GLOUCESTER, Maine — First-year Callahan Porter paced Bates men’s cross country at the CBB Wave Race on Tuesday at Pineland Farms as the Bobcats finished in second place, behind Bowdoin and well-ahead of Colby. Porter (Chester, N.J.) raced to the finish in 20:05, averaging a 5:18 mile pace along the way. He took seventh place out of 50 runners on the evening. First-year Nikhil Chavda (Nottingham, N.H.) finished second on the Bobcats and ninth overall in 20:17.
