Wilson-Cook Named SBC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week

NEW ORLEANS – App State senior Oliver Wilson-Cook snagged the 2023 campaign’s first Sun Belt Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week honor, the league announced on Wednesday. Wilson-Cook earned the honor after clocking an 8K time of 24:28.4 to place seventh individually at the Firetower Project Run in Boone, N.C. on Sept. 1. He also helped the Mountaineers to a second-place team finish at the meet. Wilson-Cook’s time was five seconds off from his 8K personal best of 24:23.1, which was set at the 2022 Live in Lou Cross Country Classic. The Mountaineers will be back in action…
