Top 10 Wisconsin football defensive players of all time

1. Chris Borland, LB, 2010-13

Borland made the most of his time in Madison, leaving his name scattered across the record books. His 420 career tackles, 50 tackles for a loss and 17 sacks all remain in the top 10 in Wisconsin football history. Further, Borland holds the Big Ten record with 15 forced fumbles, the second most in FBS history.

After breaking out in 2011 and earning consensus first-team All-Big Ten honors, Borland went on to add first-team All-American honors, Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and Big Ten Linebacker of the Year among other selections. Borland was a third-round selection by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2014 NFL Draft.
