Top 10 Wisconsin football defensive players of all time
3. Tim Krumrie, DT, 1979-82
In his time as a Badger, Krumrie set the standard for Wisconsin defensive lineman. Krumrie is third on Wisconsin’s career tackles list with 444 and first in single-season tackles by a Badger defensive lineman with 135. His 276 career solo tackles still remain an untouched program record.
Krumrie earned first-team All-Big Ten selections in his final three seasons and first-team All-American honors in 1981. He was selected in the 10th round of the 1983 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals.
