William & Mary men’s soccer team falls 3-2 to Delaware in CAA opener

The William & Mary men’s soccer team suffered a disappointing loss in their CAA opener against Delaware. Despite leading 2-1, the Tribe conceded two late goals to ultimately lose the match 3-2. The game was initially delayed due to weather, but both teams came alive in the second half. William & Mary’s Lucas Caldas scored his third goal in four games to level the score at 1-1. Evan Rabush then put the Tribe ahead with a headed goal. However, Delaware fought back and secured the victory with two goals in the dying minutes of the game. William & Mary goalkeeper Cole McNally made several impressive saves, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the defeat. The Blue Hens had more shots on target and emerged as the deserved winners. The Tribe will look to bounce back in their next match against Old Dominion.
