UIC defender Paul Brauckmann named to College Soccer News National Team of the Week

UIC defender Paul Brauckmann has been named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week for his outstanding performance in two matches last week. Brauckmann’s well-taken free kick against Loyola proved to be the difference in a huge cross-town rivalry match, and his presence on the defensive end helped guide UIC to a victory over Wisconsin. He has been a constant presence on the back line for the Flames this season, playing all 540 minutes. Brauckmann’s achievement marks the first time a UIC men’s soccer player has received this honor in four years. The Flames will now shift their focus to the upcoming Missouri Valley Conference play, with a match against Belmont awaiting them.
