Esperanza HS names Athletes of the Year: Emarie Bolosan and Kenneth Rodgers
ANAHEIM, Calif. —
Female Athlete of the Year: Emarie Bolosan – Wrestling
Emarie is a small, but mighty championship wrestler. In her junior year, she was League Champion, 3rd at CIF, 5th at the Masters, and a qualifier for the State Championships. This season, Emarie not only defended her title as League Champion, but she pinned every one of her opponents in the first period. She then competed at CIF where she pinned all 5 of her opponents to become CIF Champion. From there, she finished 5th in California, becoming the first wrestler for Esperanza to place at the state level. She then went on to compete at the National Tournament. Emarie has a full Division 2 scholarship to wrestle at William Jewell in Missouri next year.
Congrats to the other female nominees for Athlete of the Year: Abigail Gavrilovic- Volleyball, Kaiya Mack- Basketball, Jasmine Liu- Swim, and Clara Stowell- Volleyball.

Male Athlete of the Year: Kenneth Rodgers- Wrestling
Kenneth was undefeated in league duals during his 10th, 11th, and 12th grade seasons. During his junior season, he was 3rd at CIF and qualified for the CIF state tournament. For his efforts during his senior season, he was a CIF individual champion and a CIF state qualifier.
