Women’s Tennis Opens Gibson Era With 6-1 Home Win

Ashland University Director of Tennis Operations Eric Gibson earned his first win with the Eagles on Wednesday (Sept. 13) afternoon, as the AU women’s tennis team (1-0) topped Grove City College (2-2), 6-1, at the Deborah Liebert Karl Tennis Complex. NOTABLES The doubles point went the Eagles’ way thanks to a sweep of all three matches – sophomores Ana Penteado and Constanza Arancibia at No. 1 (6-0), juniors Claudia Adcock and Kortney Reed at No. 2 (6-2), and freshman Brittany Witsken and sophomore Alley Stoehr at No. 3 (6-3).
