Ranking the top 10 Wisconsin Badgers quarterbacks of all time

1. Darrell Bevell, 1992-95

Bevell set the standard for what is expected of Wisconsin’s starting quarterback. With 7,686 passing yards and 59 touchdown passes in his career, Bevell still ranks first in both categories in the long history of Badger quarterbacks. He also holds the Wisconsin record for most single-game passing yards with 423 and single-game touchdown passes with five.

1993 remains Bevell’s most memorable season and one of the best in Badger football history. He earned first-team All-Big Ten honors, leading Wisconsin to a Big Ten championship and the program’s first Rose Bowl win.

Bevell went undrafted in the 1996 NFL Draft but began his football coaching career. He is currently a quarterbacks/passing game coordinator with the Miami Dolphins.
