Martinez’s Goal Lifts the Wolves to a 1-0 Victory

NEWBERRY- The Newberry College men’s soccer team defeated the Wasps of Emory & Henry College 1-0 Saturday afternoon at the Smith Rd. Complex. A Benjamin Martinez goal with just over nine minutes to go in the first half gave the Wolves a 1-0 lead. Senior goal keeper Jacob Cotton had four saves in part of the shutout victory. The Wolves (2-1-1, 1-0-1 SAC) are back in action Wednesday night as the finish a soccer double-header with the Saints of Limestone at 7:00 p.m. at the Smith Rd. Complex.
