Woods leads Herons in 1st 6K of the season

ROCHESTER, N.Y.—Senior Ainsley Woods led the William Smith Cross Country team at the Yellowjacket Invitational hosted by the University of Rochester today. In the Herons’ first 6-kilometer race of the season, Woods crossed the finish line in 25:14.3. Woods beat teammate, sophomore Hope Johnson to the line by two seconds, marking the first time the latter had not led William Smith this season. Woods finished 98th and Johnson 102nd in a field of more than 260 runners. As a team, William Smith placed 15th out of 21.
