Rebels soccer earns one win, two clean sheets against Armstrong and Park Center

Champlin Park boys soccer battled to a narrow but eventful 1-0 win over Armstrong on Sept. 12, finding a winning goal from senior captain Carter Havelak amid a possession-dominant performance. The Rebels dominated the ball in the first half, outshooting Armstrong nine to one. Havelak, Nathan Otero, Nathan Ruelas, and Deven Khamvongsouk all peppered the left and right wings with darting runs. Their service found the feet of Lester Arthur, Kafema Sanoe, and Caleb Ibarra, but a resolute Armstrong backline refused to concede.
