Hawkins and Beam Sweep Weekly GSC Cross Country Awards

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.-Aria Hawkins was named Gulf South Conference runner of the week and Katie Beam was named GSC freshman of the week for their performances last weekend as announced by the league on Wednesday. The Lee University women’s cross country team finished ninth out of 36 teams at the Southern Showcase. Aria Hawkins was the first Lee runner to cross the finish line. Hawkins was 32nd overall at 17:35.80. Beam claimed 94th place (18:39.70) to give the Lady Flames seven runners in the top 100.
