Lewis’ Hannah Smrcka Named GLVC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week

INDIANAPOLIS — The Great Lakes Valley Conference announced Wednesday (Sept. 20) that Hannah Smrcka (Cory, Penn.) has won GLVC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week after her performance at the National Catholic Invitational last week. Smrcka was the first-place finisher in the small school division, and No. 10 overall, with a time of 17:50.20 in the 5K on Sept. 15. She helped the Flyers capture first place in the small schools division, and third overall, at the meet hosted by Notre Dame. Her time ranked as the ninth-fastest in Lewis history for the women’s 5K.
