2. Troy Aikman (1989-2000)
The Cowboys selected Aikman with the No. 1 overall pick in the 1989 NFL Draft and the organization could not ask for much more than what he accomplished. He finished his 12-year NFL career with six Pro Bowl appearances and three Super Bowl rings.
Aikman’s best season came in 1993 when he led the league in completion percentage (69.1%) and placed fifth in MVP voting.
September 13, 1999: The Cowboys erase a 21-point 4th quarter deficit, and defeat Washington 41-35 on a 76-yard walkoff overtime TD from Troy Aikman to Rocket Ismail.
