Ranking the top 10 Green Bay Packers wide receivers of all time

2. James Lofton (1978-86)

Unlike many of the wide receivers on this list, Lofton had multiple stops during the course of his 16-year NFL career, but the 2003 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee spent the first nine years with the Packers which was undoubtedly the best stretch of his time in the league. Lofton was selected sixth overall by the Pack in 1978 out of Stanford and produced immediately, making the Pro Bowl in his first NFL season. It would be one of seven Pro Bowl appearances he made as a member of the Packers, with the final three coming in a stretch from 1983-85 in which he racked up 1,100 yards or more each year, and twice led the league in yards per reception. Lofton would go on to play for the Raiders, Bills, Eagles and Rams, but it was his 530 receptions, 9,656 yards and 49 touchdowns in Green Bay that cemented his Hall of Fame case.
