Women’s tennis picks up first win of the fall

WAYNESBURG, Pa. (Sept. 21) – The Waynesburg University women’s tennis team welcomed La Roche to town on Thursday afternoon for a non-Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) match against the Redhawks. The Yellow Jackets picked up their first win of the season by downing the visitors 7-2. The home team (1-3) featured four players posting 2-0 days. Freshman Karly Starcher (Williamstown, W.Va. / St. Mary’s) and sophomore Claire Lace got things going with an 8-2 win at second doubles.
