While the 2019 season put an end to Brady’s career with the Patriots following their disappointing collapse to start the playoffs, the year did, however, represent one of the most impressive defensive units the team had ever had. Ranked first in both points and yards allowed, New England’s 2019 defense vastly improved on its effort from the season before, resulting in a team that exemplified many of Brady’s early years. A 12-4 finish still signified what was a solid run that should have gone further in the year.
