Stevens boys, girls shut out Patriots and more from Thursday’s high school soccer action

Alex Dodd Six players found net for the Rapid City Stevens boys soccer team Thursday as it collected a 7-2 win over Douglas/Rapid City Christian/New Underwood at Sioux Park. Gabe Cox led the Raiders’ effort in the first half, scoring two goals. Stevens scored on its first possession when Miles Cutler fielded a ricochet off teammate Sam Knudson and scored in close range of the Patriots’ net. Cox scored in the 11th and 36th minutes of action, both on passes from Luther Busching. Sandwiched between the two goals by Cox was a goal on a penalty kick by Vinny Robbennolt.…
